I spend an embarrassing number of nights after work parked in coffee shops around the city where I write books for middle grade readers and freelance for various web publications. Here is what I'm working on these days:

Books:

THE GOOD GUY'S GUIDE TO NERDVILLE
Genre: Contemporary Upper Middle Grade
Length: 48,000 words
Hero: Caye, a sixth grader who is introduced to the awful world of wedgies when he moves to a new town.
Status: deep in my second round of revisions!

KASSABOOBOO, THE CHILDREN EATER
Genre: Fantasy Chapter Book
Length: 13,000 words
Heroes: Kate and Nate, twins who compete over everything - even whose toes would be tastier in soup.
Status: first draft done, currently with my critique group.

CAPTAIN PECULIAR AND THE DREAM SHIP
Genre: Middle Grade Adventure
Length: 64,000 words
Hero: James Gregory, a fourth grade inventor who doesn't like people very much.
Status: my first manuscript - in a forever state of revising, but hoping to jump back in soon.
